Obtaining E-gold

E-gold is a popular and most commonly used standard of e-currency used for online investment programs such as autosurfs and hyips.

Overall, there are many methods of obtaining e-gold, and different e-gold exchangers accept different methods.

Bank Wire - this is the most commonly used and accepted form of payment. You send information for money to be directly transferred, and is almost immediately received. Although this is the most popular way, the bank wire method is not accessible to every person. Bank wiring usually taxes a big fee.

Paypal - It is illegal to sell Paypal for E-gold. Paypal does not in any way support any other types of online currencies but itself. Sometimes, there are e-gold auctions on ebay, which you can bid on with paypal, but keep it mind, the paypal to e-gold ratio is steep, usually between 1:1.5 and 1:2. The best way to exchange Paypal to E-gold is to find a person to trade with on a forum.

AlertPay - accepts bank transfer, directly related to E-gold, possibly the best exchanger. Since most people have a checking account, you can easily transfer the money from your bank into AlertPay. AlertPay has an extra function however: to withdraw your money with E-gold. There is a fee of 3.5%, but it is miniscule compared to other fees. AlertPay is the best way to exchange currency into e-gold. It also accepts a certified check or money order, for those who don't have a checking account.

Credit Card - nearly impossible to do. All the ones that accept credit cards, are almost always scams. The only exception is Goldex.net. However, being the only legit and credible credit card acceptor, it requires that you charge $250+ for the first time, and $100+ any other time. It asks you for personal information such as billing information and utility bills in order to be credited.

Western Union - Some exchangers do use WesternUnion as a choice. I am still unsure about this method, whether with WesternUnion.com, or an actual stall.

If you are going to use an exchanger, always find information about it, and make sure it is reliable.
